James and Lily
Ok so with how James was with Lily in Hogwarts after Hogwarts he has calmed down a little bit as he is in the auror force so he isn't about to run around begging her for a date and he has to have some level of maturity about him. Yet to him she is the only girl that wasn't taken in by the charms and the wit of him and didn't fall at his feet, therefore she is someone he would be interested in because of the fact she wasn't someone who would do what he says she has her opinions and sticks to them. Therefore he would try and change her opinion of him.

Lily defiantly had noticed the change in James, she has recently started to notice her mind often drifts to him while she is day dreaming and when she does think about him butterflies form in her stomach. So even though she hates to admit it she has started to like him and I can see her agreeing to go out with him and such surprisingly not saying no. |

cool, perhaps we could use an npc student from their year trying to get lily to go on a date with him believing no one would take interest in her with the new law (very ron and hermione fourth year i know) and then the very respectable and charming James swoops in and kills two birds with one stone?

IAIN&&LILY Even if they weren't in the same year, I think Iain and Lily would recognise each other sort of. Iain's brother was Head Boy for Ravenclaw at some point, so he might've known Lily better, and Lily would mostly have known Iain as 'Cailean's little brother' or something. I can see them being friendly, but not close, because although Iain is a nice person, he can be childish and silly and even more of a blockhead than James used to be. P: |

I don't think these two would have ever met, however if they do I think Tye would dislike her intensely when he finds out she's muggle born but he wouldn't say anything out loud (unless really, really drunk!)
